The Boy Who Changed the World
The Boy Who Changed the World by Andy Andrews, author of The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters, is a children's book that I chose to review for BookSneeze.
This was a beautiful book. I read it several times to the kids, and I am sure it is one we will use again and again. It traces the lives of several well-known world changers from their childhood to their adulthood and how they made an impact in the world. The point is that we never know how far reaching our choices may be.
Andrews relates to children the butterfly effect- that when a butterfly flaps its wings here, a great wind may be generated on the other side of the world- to illustrate how our choices may affect the future. It is a very thought-provoking book- even to me as an adult.
The book is beautiful. It is appealing to the kids because of the great illustrations and the stories of children. I definitely give this one a thumbs up!
