I was able to review this book for Tyndale Media. As a mother of a nearly teen girl, I am always looking for novels for teen girls that deal appropriately with love and romance and family relationships. So, I was happy to review this tween novel.
Savannah, Savvy, has recently moved with her family to England from the US and is busy starting school and making friends in a new country and a new school. She longs to be a journalist and write for the school paper, and she longs to be accepted by the girls (and boys) at her new school. When she finds out about the May Day Ball, she longs to go but doesn't have a date. Will she settle for Rhys, the "bad boy" with a bad reputation or will she hold out for the guy God may have in store for her?
I thought this was a great tween novel! Family relationships were handled well. The love/romance was handled well. Savvy has a strong Christian faith that leads her to seek God's will for all the difficulties of her life.
I will happily pass this one along and recommend it to my young daughter!
I received a copy of this book from Tyndale Media for the purpose of review.
