The Prayers of Agnes Sparrow- Joyce Magnin
Agnes Sparrow is housebound with no other purpose in her life than to pray for her neighbors in Bright's Pond. She is an over 700 pound woman who long since decided that it is too much trouble to be outside. And so she prays. And when she prays things happen. So, her town decides to have sign and statue honoring Agnes. But, when trouble comes to the town, Agnes is the villain instead of the hero. And, when old secrets begin to come to light, no one will believe the same again.
The Prayers of Agnes Sparrow was a delightful tale of a small town and an unlikely heroine. Agnes and her sister- the two main characters - were interesting to get to know. Agnes's story was appealing and held my interest. I had heard good things about this book, and I was not disappointed. The Prayers of Agnes Sparrow was a really good read.
