A little disclaimer for my regular blog readers is in order here. I reviewed this book for NetGalley. I am going to give it a fairly good review because I enjoyed it. It is a romance novel. It has several scenes of intimacy that you may feel are totally inappropriate. It has some language that you may not like. I'm not reviewing the morality of the book here. I am simply reviewing the quality of the book as being a good read or not. And now, let's get on with it. :-)
Sean Kowalski is newly back from the army with no real idea of what he plans to do. When he meets Emma and finds out that she wants him to be her pretend fiance, he is at first resistant. But, she also promises him a job, and he can't resist. So, he agrees to the deception while her grandmother is in town. But, Emma and Sean find themselves really falling in love and don't know quite how to deal with the feelings they didn't expect to have.
It's a sweet, romantic, ooh, aah love story. Don't expect lots of depth here or lots of surprises. It's pretty predictable. But, Sean and Emma were great characters. I'd enjoy reading more of the series to find out more about the Kowalski family. Even though the ending was fairly predictable, I enjoyed the twists and turns that we went through to get there. Love, romance, and happy endings make this story a good read for me.
I received a free Kindle edition of this book from NetGalley for review purposes. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
