52 Books in 52 Weeks

I finished three books this week for 52 Books in 52 Weeks:

A Daughter's Inheritance by Tracie Peterson and Judith Miller was VERY disappointing.  A free Kindle read, I found myself quite thankful it was free because I would hate to have paid for it.  The book was slow and dull from page one, but I persevered because I hate to leave a book unfinished.  And, when I came to the end, I was especially angry because it didn't end!  Yes, I get the concept of a series, but typically one book has an ending of sorts even if there is a cliff hanger.  This one absolutely had no end!  Don't read it.  I'm just saying.

Love From the Ashes by Denise Agnew was a HUGE improvement.  A caution for discerning readers: there were a few intimate scenes.  But, the story was wonderful.  The characters were very appealing.  And the historical events- the great earthquake and fire in San Francisco in the early 1900s- were compelling reading.  I definitely recommend this one.

The Guardian by Robbie Cheuvront and Erik Reed I read and reviewed here.
