Ah, a free Kindle read that I loved! Dee Henderson has been a long time favorite of mine. She writes Christian suspense/romance/hero novels. I love her books with military and police heroes and heroines.
In True Devotion, Kelly Jacobs is still mourning the loss of her SEAL husband after three years. She is best friends with his best friend, Joe. When she and Joe decide to pursue a deeper relationship, they must deal with Kelly's fear that it could happen again. In the meantime, the terrorist that killed Kelly's husband has resurfaced; and Joe and his team will have to stop him before Kelly's life could be in danger.
I loved Kelly and Joe. In the best books, I think about the characters when I'm not reading and wonder how they are doing. I know it's crazy, but some of my fellow readers can probably identify. I spent quite a bit of time thinking about Kelly and Joe and finished the book all too soon. I was happy to see that there are two more in this series. I must have missed these before. So, I'll be finding those two soon. I also noticed one more stand alone Dee Henderson book that I've missed somehow. I'll have to find that one also.
I give this one a rare 5 stars. I'd rate it PG for some suspense and violence.
