A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows Eve by Diana Gabaldon
I'm not always a fan of novellas, but I couldn't pass up this one by Diana Gabaldon.
She captured me with the Outlander series, and I am still waiting with bated breath for the eighth (and final ?) installment. Meanwhile I've picked up The Scottish Prisoner- a "filler" book that fit in between books 2 and 3 and this novella- "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows Eve".
This novella picks up the story of Roger Wakefield- one of the main Ourlander characters- and gives us a glimpse of what truly happened to the parents that Roger lost at a young age.
I love, love, love the details, the historical background, the charming Scottish style, and the love stories in the Outlander series.
As always, I give the disclaimer that these novels have some descriptions of intimacy and occasional bad language- usually in Gaelic but occasionally in English.
I give this one 5 stars and an R for content.
